1. Serene Hotel on the Beach

We stayed at the Hip Hotel for a recent holiday in Tulum, Mexico and loved it. Though we paid for a garden-view room, our room had a beautiful view of the ocean. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was huge and comfy and we had our own private balcony with a hammock for afternoon reading. The bathroom was clean, though we didn't always have hot water for showers. 

The service at the hotel was great, we especially enjoyed the hospitality of Victor at the restaurant and Leonardo at the front desk. 

The included breakfast at the hotel restaurant was very decent, though limited in selection, but we had a disappointing lunch there so we stuck to breakfast only from then on. The best part of this hotel was that you were right on the beach and there were always chairs available with or without shade. We loved our morning walks and runs along the beautiful Tulum beach. Definitely recommend this as an affordable but lovely hotel option. We hope to be back!
